The world’s best corporate run goes virtual

Following six successful editions of the physical B2Run Portugal, the pandemic handed us our biggest challenge.

Cancelling the event was not an option, so we set out to try and deliver the same feeling of celebration and contagious team spirit that are so special in B2Run events, now for an online-only audience.

With the support of our and brand-new title sponsor, Lusíadas Saúde, VOQIN’ had to get creative, the team was all-hands-on-deck to reimagine the event in a virtual setting.

We developed new channels of communication and initiated the delivery of content to potential participants way before the event date via our carefully themed B2Talks featuring experts in various areas around wellbeing and health sharing their expertise on live streams. developed new channels of communication and content

On the day, our long-time host Francisco Menezes was with us all the steps of the way encouraging all participants throughout the event. We made full use of our EMEX platform to stream live events taking place, interact with participants and showcase the best user-generated content from social media, all with the help of our AV partner, RXF.

We went even further by integrating the UPNDO app with the event and challenging everybody to track their movement on the app and earn points that generated funds for good causes. We found a revamped purpose for the run and may have entered a new era for B2Run Portugal.

The 7th edition of B2Run Portugal had no geographic limitations, and we welcomed all kinds of physical activity, anything that contributed to the collective wellbeing of the participating companies. We were able to expand our reach and include an even more diverse audience than was previously possible.

All in all, we made this edition of B2Run Portugal the largest and most inclusive corporate charity running event in Portugal – and probably in the world!
