Wrapping up 2020

Dear friend,

Let’s not kid ourselves, 2020 has been a challenging year, but as always, we choose to focus on opportunities.

Pivoting is a barely adequate description for the profound changes that we’ve undergone. Over the last eight months, we have substantially added to VOQIN’s resources as a creative and dynamic live events agency to becoming an emotiontech.

And what is an emotiontech? I’m glad you ask.

An emotiontech blends creative events and experience design with the latest technology to provide a powerful way of engaging participants, both online and offline. An emotiontech is uniquely capable of provoking positive emotions in audiences through digital experiences that go far beyond the ordinary.

At the heart of this is our technology platform, EMEX. EMEX stands for EMotional EXperiences, and it represents the hard work of our talented teams who have developed a technology platform capable of supporting almost any type of online events. We have already successfully used EMEX to support the creative ambitions of some of our top clients, including Unilever, Concha y ToroMicrosoft and Leading Hotels of the World.

EMEX also supports our own emotion-focused events, and one that we are very proud of is The Residential. Our gourmet home experience, developed in partnership with LOHAD and FoodStory, combines top-quality culinary ingredients with live cooking sessions delivered by Michelin starred chefs. An unforgettable experience powered by EMEX that touches all five senses. It has already received excellent reviews, and it is currently available to the public in Portugal, soon in Brazil and on-demand for corporate activities anywhere in the world.

The most recent (virtual) edition of the B2Run was also powered by EMEX, complemented with the UPNDO app to help us strive towards our mission of improving the wellbeing of all workplaces in Portugal.

Another event powered by EMEX was our e-Partners Lab event where we bring together, virtually for this edition, some of our best partners and clients to learn from each other and discuss partnership opportunities.

There is one last thing I want to share with you: partnerships, but not just any partnerships.  We are actively partnering with some of our favourite properties and event service providers to deliver online or hybrid experiences through the EMEX platform. The iconic Sao Paulo hotel, Maksoud Plaza is our new official EMEX partner and is already using EMEX to support their clients’ online event needs.

In conclusion, there are silver linings to 2020, and we feel energized with all the great plans we have for our online and hybrid events in 2020, 2021 and beyond.
